PROGRAM OUTCOMES
Hoʻomohala included student-driven, independent projects to help stustain the community. A guiding essential question was: "How can I, as a student apprentice, help sustain my family or community during difficult times?"
Student projects included: distributing food, creating storage space, becoming a caregiver, and making kūpuna meals. Students learned through service, and progress was evaluated by celebrating individual journeys.
Final Outcomes:
- 87% of participants believe more in their power to shape their own future.
- 85% of participants feel an increase sense of self-confidence.
- 85% of participants believe more in their ability to learn.
