PROGRAM OUTCOMES

Mahope O Ke Kula Ke A‘o Mau Ana (A continuation of learning after school) program inspires students and their facilitators from Native Hawaiian communities to achieve academic success in math and science through the experience of Hawaiian cultural values and practices with hands-on learning during and after the school year, intersession and summer breaks.

With the support of KS-Kaulu during the summer of 2021, students from Keaukaha, Ka‘ū, and West O‘ahu participated in a hybrid program in which they explored connections between loko i‘a and science through hands-on STEM lessons, discussions with STEM professionals, and huaka‘i.
