PROGRAM OUTCOMES

Haumāna were introduced to savings, checking, and brokerage accounts. They learned how to balance a checkbook, track stock performance, and the idea of investing.

Huakaʻi included Kualoa Beach Park, where haumāna learned moʻolelo, got some new laku luʻu kai (dive gear), and learned palekana kai (ocean safety). They learned how to kūkulu pā pōhaku, and built an ahu in less than 2 hours. Haumana also explored tide pools at Kaupō, Waimanalo, Koʻolaupoko, Oʻahu. At this location the haumāna were introduced to the art of huli ka heʻe (octopus hunting), and the contemporary use of a glass bottom bucket.
