Kawaikini Hāʻulelau

Fall 2022

Grades:

K-2, 3-5, 6-8

Program Details:

During the fall break, we will provide opportunities for Kawaikini haumāna, especially vulnerable learners, to continue learning with an emphasis on place-based, hands on experiences, and ʻāina based community service projects, MA KA ʻŌLELO HAWAIʻI. 


During the four day program, we will focusing on culture based activities, including: hula, oli, kilo, arts and crafts, and character development. Program will be held on and off campus. 


Off campus days will be spent on field work trips to specific moku to conduct community service projects to include: ocean clean up, plant and animal analysis, fishpond work, water testing, hiking, reef observations, taro field work, and history.

 

Program will be held from Monday, October 3 thru Thursday October 6, 2022, from 8am - 3pm.
